Yea, that Shakespeace in Love was hilarious... I mean, c'mon, its not even a comedy!!! Same goes for Youve got Mail. Galaxy Quest? Topsy-Turvy? This could be the single worst list EVER created.

Lists like this are made to create argument and discussion, so while some of their choices - and snubs - are definitely questionable and sometimes flat-out wrong, it's a pretty comprehensive list. More like a Blockbuster "In the modd for a laugh? Pick one these whacky flicks!" list than a best-of, but oh well.

Shakespeare In Love WAS hilarious, thank you.
Same goes for Youve got Mail.
Romantic Comedy
Galaxy Quest?
Oh come on, did you not see the film? It's parody all the way through.
This could be the single worst list EVER created.
I won't disagree.

Ghostbusters??

Some of those being considered the funniest film is just disappointing.

I do agree with Quest for the Holy Grail though.

That omission invalidates the list, IMO, and I don't need to waste my time reading it now. lol.

Just like the AFI's 100 best comedies list I don't think the main criteria for these movies was funniness. So calling these movies the "funniest" is just wrong. I think these lists are better looked at as Top 100 movies that are also funny/comedies.

They should place two voting links next to the movies on their web page: "Funniest!" and "You must have been high."

but i gotta say some great comedys are in it. and imho the best comedy of all time too:

to be or not to be

i just couldn´t stop laughing, funnier than any movie i´ve ever seen

These types of lists are usually pure crap. This one is no exception. Some of the movies on the list can't even be considered comedies. And how could you not include Dumb & Dumber? That movie was pure genius. GENIUS, I TELL YOU!

The worst idea for a film list is "funniest films". Comedy is the most subjective film genre, everyone has different tastes. It's better to just ignore lists like this

For example, I don't find anything that Kevin Smith or Adam Sandler has made even remotely funny.

Good grief, what a bunch of dated crap. This is the oldest movie on the list I've seen:

MONTY PYTHON AND THE HOLY GRAIL (1975)

Most of the earlier films I've never even heard of.
