Okay, try and name this movie for me... (late 70's)
I'm trying to remember the name of a movie from the late 70's, or maybe very early 80's, that I saw at drive in along with Star Wars.
It was a shlocky super-hero movie, featuring three guys (one big strong type, one smaller kung-fu type, one mid-sized...) that join up to save a village from a group of nasty Amazonian bad-girls.
The movie starts out with these women having some kind of skill test, where there are several of them tied to wooden posts, and they kill each other off with bows/arrows. (The survivors are the 'best', I guess...)
The three guys that fight them off teach the villagers to use bolas to fight, if I remember right. (I was about 10 when I saw this film... I think it was the same year Damnation Alley came out...)
Anyway, it's bugged me for years that I can't remember the name of this film. Strangely, I have a name floating around in my head, something like 'The Three Super Stooges", but I can't find anything anywhere that would give me a clue. So, any takers out there, willing to take a stab at identifying this old film?
