Cheech or Chong?.

My friend and I why were discussing particular scenes in Cheech and Chong's Next movie. It came up because it's finally being released next week. Anyway our discussion led to everything C&C and finally came to which we liked better ,Cheech or Chong?.

It turns out that as much as we love both charachters we both favored one over the other.

So which is your favorite?

Mexican Americans don't like to just get into gang fights, they like flowers and music and white girls named Debbie too. Mexican Americans are named Chata and Chella and Chima and have a son in law named Jeff. Mexican Americans don't like to get up early in the morning but they have to so they do it real slow. Mexican Americans love education so they go to night school and they take Spanish and get a B. Mexican Americans love their Nana's and their Nono's and their Nena's and their Neno's... Nano Nano Nena Nono! Mexican Americans don't like to go to the movies where the dude has to wear contact lenses to make his blue eyes brown cause don't it make my brown eyes blue.

cheech is my favorite. :)

I've always been a Cheech fan--see Born In East L.A., Desperado, From Dusk Till Dawn, and the Spy Kids movies for some of my fav's.

I always thought Chong was a little bit funnier.

Cheech. He could play a variety of things. Chong was just a bit too one dimensional.

RyoHazuki 08-26-03 10:49 PM

Cheech. He's a real person. Chong is a skit.

Tommy Chong for he 'directed' "Up in Smoke", he is a diector besides doing some funny acting read the credits.

I vote for Chong, he's the more loveable half of the pair, even if he is more one-dimensional.

Chong is NOT one dimensional at all! Off the top of my head, he played the straight white guy who Cheech tries to mug(as Cheech), he plays the black blues man "Blind Lemon Pie"(or something very close to that), as well as Prince Habib. Cheech is very talented and fun too, certainly I don't mean to rag on his talents, but his main variation was as the man with a "Hairpiece". But Chong is underrated in the duo.

However, and I refer strictly to their work as a duo. Because while Chong has relied on his "Chong" persona, Cheech has done some nice other work, showing lots of heart in "Born in East LA", Tin Cup and Nash Bridges.

And it's even more strange I stumble upon this post as I was today watching my favorite C&C performance in "After Hours".
