Actually, Nemo beat Gigli $676 per screen to $664 per screen. ;)

fumanstan 08-02-03 12:48 PM

Was hoping Pirates would beat Spy Kids.... nice to see American Wedding doing well though :)

moocher 08-02-03 01:22 PM

Spy Kids is surprisingly strong and Pirates will definitely be #3 or higher for the summer. Pirates continues to be so strong that it could possibly overtake Matrix for #2. I doubt it will catch Nemo though.

Good to see American Wedding doing well.....and even better to see Gigli bombing so hard! It might not break 5 mill for the weekend, how awesome would that be. :)

Jackskeleton 08-02-03 01:57 PM

Well in their defense.. they did warn us about it..

"It's turkey time.. Gobble Gobble"

Gigli rotfl

Maybe this will help J-Lo step into the shadows for a while.

Just got back from taking my friend to see it, hope my $10 helps! :)

Good job pixyboi!

American Wedding should take in about $32-$35 mil. Not bad at all. Should continue to to do well over the bleak month...

We can only hope, but she has much too big of an ego to do that.

KTIK 08-02-03 05:35 PM

She'll probably blame the flop on Ben and divorce him before they even get married.

Tom Campbell 08-02-03 05:44 PM

Considering the bad reviews, I'm actually surprised that LXG is holding on in the top ten the way it is. And T3 has slipped just below it. That, in my mind, is the big surprise with the Friday numbers.

And too smokin hot :)

Maybe now the media will stop putting J. Lo & Ben on the covers of magazines. Because now they know the public doesn't give a dam bout' them!

Jackskeleton 08-03-03 01:52 AM

And sometimes.. you make Reindeer games..

hgar78 08-03-03 08:40 AM

what i would give to be a fly on the wall when these 2 get the final numbers.......

:) i bet they blame it on anyone else they can.

I went to a showing of Spy-Kids yesterday and couldn't find 4 seats together in a 400 person theater.

Dr. DVD 08-03-03 10:23 AM

$1.4 million? I would have wanted it to be lower. :( I hope it does even worse and Sony decides to pull it out of movie houses early.

Sunday Morning 08-03-03 10:32 AM

that's ok. Early estimates has gigli at the $4-5 mill range.

Indy Jones Fan 08-03-03 11:14 AM

The wife and I went to see it last night. I don't see where all the negitivity is coming from. We were entertained for two hours which is what I paid for. I give it a 3 out of 5 star rating.

Mr. Kite! 08-03-03 11:46 AM

No need to double post dude.
