"### people died the next year" -- what's it from?
I realize this is pretty vague, but I'll try to make it as clear as I can. I remember seeing a movie where, at the end, there were words on the screen that said how things eventually concluded. The last one was something like, "[some number of] people died the next year," as if there were some program going on (government or otherwise) that prevented murder but got shut down.
I had thought it was
, but having just rewatched it that does not seem to be the case.
I had thought it was

IIRC, it was supposed to be the original ending text to Minority Report, but a last-minute decision was made to not include it.

I remember now: it was in Ferris Bueller's Day Off right after Mia Sara strips down while Cameron ogles her pretending to be in a coma. A voice-over proclaims "#### people died the next year" and they all hop into a flying DeLorian to go visit Biggs on Tattoowine and the words "To Be Continued..." appear on the screen.

It was NOT in the theatrical version of Minority Report, no matter how many of you say you saw it. It was originally in there, but Spielberg cut it because it sort of made the ending a downer, and he didn't want to go that way. He wanted to show Cruise and his pregnant wife as a happy ending. Naming off how many people died the next year would have made it less happy. I wish it would have been in there, but it wasn't.

I had a real audio of it, but I deleted it.
