Favorite Back to the Future Film

Gotta go with Part 1 followed extremely closely by Part 2! Tough choice between those two.

Feel exactly the same way. Part II has a tighter plot and so much going on, and it's refreshingly well-devised for a sequel...but the original is a little bit better of a movie. Both are among my all-time favorites, though.

I get sad thinking that Part II could have even been better if its editing had to take second priority to the filming of the very lame Part III.

Part 2 for me.

Red Dog 07-06-03 12:20 PM

2

Skull 07-06-03 12:25 PM

Part 1.

I didn't mind 3, in fact, it's my favorite.

PJsig08 07-06-03 03:33 PM

It's like choosing between Godfather I and II.

I gotta go with II...only because we get the future AND the past.

The perception and tie-in's in the future (dealing with the past in the first BTTF) in part II are amazing.

Part I, but it's a close call for all three movies...

II, it's the most complex and most meticulously constructed. No good without Part I fresh in your mind though which was why, I think, it was so maligned.

Geofferson 07-06-03 05:17 PM

The first one, hands-down.

Come to think of it, it's probably one of my all-time favorite movies.

mookiemeister 07-06-03 06:20 PM

I agree the first movie is the best. 3rd one is also pretty good. 2nd one is a bit confusing.

Kal-El 07-06-03 06:21 PM

Always loved 2 the most. 1's reaaaaly close in 2nd place though.

mwj 07-06-03 06:59 PM

I really like the first movie. The other two are just okay.

Simpson Purist 07-06-03 07:01 PM

Part I all the way, baby.

TopHatCat64 07-06-03 08:52 PM

Part 1! Gotta love the 50's

Doughboy 07-06-03 10:28 PM

The first one easily. C'mon, it had Crispin Glover!

taa455 07-06-03 10:46 PM

I love all three movies, but Part I is my favorite. I love that MJ Fox line, "Wait a minute, Doc. You made a time machine out of a Delorian!?!" So funny the way his voice cracks and the look on his face is priceless. So many funny lines in that movie.:up:

Mountain Biker 07-06-03 10:49 PM

I love all three also, with Part 1 being my favorite, followed by Part II and Part III.

eedoon 07-07-03 12:41 AM

^^ What he said.

Joel 07-07-03 03:54 AM

Love them all. Especially Part I.

spankyj 07-07-03 08:21 AM

Love them all. Went with Part I because of the originality of the trilogy.

Hiro11 07-07-03 09:51 AM

Part 1 is probably the best stand alone movie. Part 2 has such a sweet nostalgic late-80s vibe and cool plot that it's my favorite, though.

TCG 07-07-03 08:29 PM

Far and away Part 1.

bsktballDude1 07-07-03 10:26 PM

The orginal film Back to the Future is one of my favorite movies, so I got to go with that. But Part II and III I like a lot too. These movies are just so damn funny.

MJKTool 07-07-03 10:31 PM

Part 1.....barely, Part 2 is very, very close.
