Jackson Performance Coen Brothers Film Martin Scorsese Film Steven Spielberg Film Akira Kurosawa Film Mike Leigh Film John Sayles Film Alfred Hitchcock Film Comedy Film War Film Crime Film Thriller Sci Fi Film Black and White Film I hope this topic isn't too boring...:) |
Godfather (Brando, De Niro, Pacino) - never saw those movies... don't care to
Living Actor - depends on my mood Dead Actor - I don't pay attention to who dies Comedy Actor - depends on my mood Robert De Niro Performance - not a big fan, but I guess Taxi Driver? John Turturro Performance - Barton Fink I guess Jack Nicholson Performance - Uhh... Shining I guess Samuel L. Jackson Performance - All these actors are the same in every movie they're in. I guess Pulp Fiction for him. Or Deep Blue Sea where he gets eaten by a shark. Coen Brothers Film - Blood Simple or Raising Arizona. Martin Scorsese Film - Meh - not a big fan. Steven Spielberg Film - meh... Jurassic Park 3 Akira Kurosawa Film - Never seen any Mike Leigh Film - No idea who this is John Sayles Film - No idea Alfred Hitchcock Film - North by Northwest I guess... haven't thought about it since college Comedy Film - depends on my mood. War Film - Casualties of War or Full Metal Jacket Crime Film - what's a crime film? Thriller - Michael Jackson Sci Fi Film - nothing really stands out right now Black and White Film - Patch of Blue Not really a boring topic, but every question here deserves its own thread (I'm not suggesting you make 20 threads though)... |
Wow, that is a lot. Me, I just like the way you spell the word "favourite" -- very cool, very English.
Maybe you should settle on your favorite favorite -- you know, pick just one of these and run with that. I like the Samuel L. Jackson topic (I think Pulp Fiction, but I have a soft spot for his work in Deep Blue Sea -- still one of my all-time movie scenes), and I like the Black and White film topic. (You should clarify this to include only films made in black & white AFTER the advent of color -- otherwise, there's just too much to sift through. And I would go with either Manhattan or Raging Bull.) Welcome to the forum! |
