What "scares" you? Most horror movies don't scare me at all. I mean, I'll jump back a little some times, but for the most part many horror movies don't really scare me.
The ones that do scare me are the ones that deal with possession, ghosts, or demons of some sort. Poltergeist, The Others, The Ring, Nightmare on Elm Street (although that movie didn't age well for me, I find rather boring and silly now), The Blair Witch Project (I wouldn't go in my basement for a week), Jaws (I still look around every time i'm in the ocean), and the greatest horror movie ever "The Exorcist".

Texas Chainsaw Massacre
The Night Of The Living Dead
Evil Dead
Not really horror but Eraserhead is a true nightmare. If you can watch Eraserhead without being freaked out you may not be human.

Actually, if you are looking for something scary, stay away from these movies (all of which have been listed in this thread):
The Beyond
Re-Animator
Bad Taste
Dead Alive
Dawn of the Dead
I don't think anyone would consider any of these films scary. Most of them aren't even intended to be.

Ever see something as a kid and then again as an adult and have a totally different reaction?
I recently saw "I Spit on your grave" again after about 15 years. When I first saw it at 14, I thought it was scary and grusome.
After I saw it again last year, I laughed my ass off. Its a poor man's softcore porn with miserable attempts at horror. The acting is really the funniest part. Isn't the woman in that Buster Keatons granddaughter?

I think nowadays people confuse "scary" with being "startled". Something jumping out of the dark in a movie is startling, not scary. Scary to me is something that disturbs you, gets under your skin, and makes you shiver at the thought of it. To me some excellent examples of this are:
Silence of the Lambs
The Exorcist
Kubrick's The Shining
The first Nightmare On Elm Street
All of these movies really creeped me out and left me truly scared for days after watching them.
