The Royal Tennenbaums question
 

In the movie, Seymour Cassel (I think that's his name, he was Max's father in Rushmore) plays a doorman/bellhop working with Gene Hackman. In one scene he pretends he's a doctor to get Royal back into his house and the following exchange happens:

Royal's wife: "Is he going to make it, doctor?"
Seymour: "Well, that depends, is he a fighter?"
Royal's wife: "Yes."
Seymour: "well, that's the best we've got"

I know this exact exchange happened in another movie, it's literally a direct quote. I can't for the life of me remember which one. It's really bothering me.

Any help?
