It's actually "mail" not "male", and it's a reference from a sound clip heard on Howard Stern's radio show from comedian Jim Florentine, in which he imitates a mentally challenged person while making prank phone calls. He repeats "I got mail" and "YAY!" over and over....

IIRC, the pictures I saw of them, they looked like strung out crack junkies.. and all that facial makeup, holy crap. There was no other way to get a record deal than to pretend to be lesbians.

I weep for people that buy into thier media crap, but the sad truth is the only way music is presented in this country these days (at least to tween/teen audiences) is a pretty face or a gimmick. I reckon maybe 2% of people aged 12-20 have any real musical tastes other than what's shoved down thier thorat by radio and TV. Probably less than that.....

I thought that this was the least entertaining MMA broadcast in years. Last years was much funnier. There were barely any movie spoofs this year and Justin Timberlake was a major lame-ass.

Actually they haven't had a lifetime achievement award for several years. After Clint Howard took the award seriously, they felt it would be disrespectful to continue to do the joke ones.

I have no idea when they stopped the best new filmmaker award, but that was always the best award. I think the first time I ever heard of Bottle Rocket was when Wes Anderson got the award.

I was watching this earlier but turned it off. The entire show seems all scripted and too fake to me.

Not that any of us will have a chance to actually do anything with her in the next three years (or ever for that matter).

I finally saw the show... man, it seemed like MTV really went overboard trying to sell Justin Timberlake as the 'hip guy that other guys can relate to' (and not as the boy band sissy that most guys have him pegged as). In all the cartoon segments it seemed like they went out of their way to play Seann William Scott as a doofus to Justin's 'cool guy'. Whatever.

The Matrix thing was hit or miss. The movie parodies are usually the best part, but this was overstuffed. Will Ferrell saved it, but it still couldn't hold a candle to last year's LotR spot. The Vince Vaughn ass thing was humorous, but not LOL funny.

The performaces were average at best. Tatu's Russian accents really came out for some reason, and they sung horribly (when they were actually singing). They're playing off their naughty lesbian thing, but they had to bring in a bunch of other girls to actually strip down and kiss each other? Lame.

The award winners... Gollum was incredible. Yoda was a good idea, but 2/3 of it should've been cut. Most of the good stuff was at the tail of it. Eminem... blech. I actually like his music, but doesn't it seem like out of his songs he has the least sense of humor of anyone on the planet? It was wisw for him to bring up the Triumpn incident from last year, but he was trying to be so 'hard' that he couldn't even tell that joke right. And then the second time he relies on a obscure joke and runs it into the ground without being funny. Seriously, he needs some comedy training bad.

Finally, am I the only pervert who noticed that Kirsten Dunst seemed to be falling out of that dress? I swear at one point it even looked like they blurred around her boob... Hopefully some dirty minded photographer got the real scoop on the red carpet.
