One of my classmates in grad school underwent a sex change. Last fall semester he was Doug, this spring he was Nicole.

I don't know if this is true, but it wouldn't surprise me. The guy's pretty weird.

Oh, and IBTJW.

Groucho drops an acronym with which I'm not familiar:
Oh, and IBTJW.
"In Before The Jihad War"?

"I Believe That's Just Wacky"?

"It's Been Two Joyous Weeks"?

Wait - I think I got it! Must be "In Before The [Insert name of DVDTalker who started a crossdressing thread in Other]"!

strange but then as long as his movies are good I really do not care what he looks like or what he wants to change his sex to.

There's an interview with them on the DVD for the first film. These guys make Tim Burton look like Oscar Wilde in terms of eloquence.

What a fairy. If this is true then I'm even more nervous about Revolutions. How could a mentally unstable person write a proper ending?

the 'we won't participate in the movies publicity' clause in their contracts is starting to make sense now.
before i was chalking it up to shyness.
i never bought that line about 'letting the film speak for itself'.
this is one film that could have used the authors stepping up to give a little exposition on their intentions and what/ what not to expect.

this story would not suprise me.

i also don't think it should impact anyones view of the material they create.
Films live on because of how sound the films themselves are dramatically.
the rest is just inconsequential & ephemeral trivia

Now they won't be "The Wachowski Broters" they'll be "The Wachowski Brother/Sister Duo" or something

Well, you have to remember, Revolutions has already been completed. It was filmed together with Reloaded.

I'm sure Larry had some of these feminine feelings while filming it, but there would be no more of that influence in Revolutions than in the other two movies. And neither M1 or M2 appeared to have been written by some weirdo cross dresser.

He hasn't killed anyone, raped underage kids, or broken any laws......if it makes him happy then so be it.

As long as the movie quality doesn't suffer.

Will studios now balk at future high budget projects because the brothers are "contreversial" and they don't want any bad publicity? This would however catapult him to the top female director in Hollywood.

Hmm... Andy's the father of the Matrix franchise, and Larry will become the mother of the Matrix franchise. It is starting to make perverse sense when you factor in the films themselves.

Did you see the rave scene?

It may also help explain the dominatrix-style black leather motif.

...you do realize that, historically speaking, "mentally unstable" people have produced some utterly fantastic work?

Just checking.

I can't help it. I know it's his choice and I don't think changing one's sex should be banned, but this still makes me sick to my stomach. I just find the whole thing repulsive, and I wish Wachowski wouldn't do it (and maybe this is just gossip, after all) and would try to solve his issues some other way.

It'd be a shame because it would most certainly affect his future work, if he'll ever be able to find any.
