~~~The Ultimate Star Trek The Movies Trivia Game Thread~~~ (SPOILERS!!! SPOILERS!!!)
For you trekkies in the board like myself, you think your so smart on Trek? Well lets test you.
Keep in mind that these questions are based on the 10 Star Trek movies, this is just for all in good fun.
Here are 5 questions from "Star Trek: Nemesis", I'm using spoiler tags in case no one seen the movie yet because these trivia questions will include major spoilers!!!!
5 Questions from Star Trek: Nemesis
Spoiler:
1. Bryan Singer does a small cameo in the movie, where is he seen?
2. At the end of movie after Data's death, Riker mentions Data singing a song which he couldn't get it right. What Star Trek: The Next Generation episode was Riker reffering to? Please name the title of that episode and name the song that Data was singing in the holodect. (hint: title of song is a children's folk song)
3. What is the name of the drink that Worf had at the wedding?
4. Was Shinzon actually a Romulan?
5. Please explain everything in detail of why Shinzon wanted Picard so badly.
Have fun with this. You are on your own, make sure you answer these ones exactly right before asking more trivia questions. I will try to answer some of you guys questions as this thread gets more replies.
3: Romulan Ale
4: no
5: he wanted to get a full blood transfusion from picard so he wouldnt die from rapid cellular decay
(the process would have killed picard)
my turn ....
1: ST5.... what does scotty say to kirk right before cracking his head on a beam in the passageway
2: name all the captians of the movie enterprise's (there are 5)
3: what actor had a cameo as the excellsior's communications officer
4: for how long did data consider joining the borg queen
1. Wasn't Singer one of the crew members that was blown out of Enterprise when the viewscreen exploded?
For THORN:
1. I know this ship like the back of my hand.
2. Captain Deckard, Captain Kirk, Captain Spock, Captain Harriman, Captain Picard
3. Janice Rand (Grace Lee Whitney)
4. Some small fraction of a second (can't remember the exact time)
5. Amanda
Some of my own:
1. In Generations, the original method of Kirk's death was scrapped after testing badly with audiences, and was reshot with the bridge collapsing death scene. How was Kirk originally killed?
2. In Star Trek VI, there was a bridge officer on the Excelsior, played by an actor who later became a member of the Star Trek Voyager cast. Which actor was this, and what character did he portray in Voyager?
3. This actor's Excelsior appearance in the movie was later retcon'ed to be the same character that he plays on Voyager. In which Voyager episode did this happen?
4. This same actor also appeared as a bridge officer on another starship in another one of the Star Trek movies. Which ship and which movie?
5. There are two actors (that I know of) that have played characters from 2 different races in the movies. Name the actors and what races they portrayed.
Soran shoots Kirk after fighting on the scaffold. He dies in Picard's arms. Last words are "It was fun."
2. In Star Trek VI, there was a bridge officer on the Excelsior, played by an actor who later became a member of the Star Trek Voyager cast. Which actor was this, and what character did he portray in Voyager?
Tim Russ - Tuvok
Don't know the name. Way after my time on the show, but he was re-enacting a scene where his friend died on the bridge of the Excelsior with Captain Sulu.
4. This same actor also appeared as a bridge officer on another starship in another one of the Star Trek movies. Which ship and which movie?
Generations - Enterprise B?
Dunno #5.....
Actually, Singer was the man who was standing outside of Captain Picards office at the very end of the movie, it's the scene where Picard gets done talking to B-4.
Specifically, he was shot in the back by Soran.
Anyone have any new questions, or is this thread just going to die?
1. Bryan Singer is seen when Worf has to go to battle the Remans who infiltrated the Enterprise. When Worf leaves his station, you can see Bryan Singer for a few seconds taking his place.
5. He was gay?
So were the other answers correct?
What's the answer to #5?
BTW, in my first draft of Generations, he's shot in the chest. Quite different from what was originally filmed.
5. Mark Lenard is one of the answers. He played one of the Klingons in STTMP and of course Sarek in III and IV.
Okay, I think I know this one.
Mark Lenard played a Klingon at the beginning of Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and Spock's father Sarek in Star Trek III & IV.
David Warner played a human in Star Trek V and Klingon Chancelor Gorkon in Star Trek VI.
Am I right?
Yes, your other answers are correct.
Shot in the chest? Wow. From what I recall of the script I read, he was shot in the back while looking up at the energy ribbon flying by the planet. Shot in the back - what a way for a legend to go. I think they way the eventually went with was much better than getting shot in the chest or back, at least.
C'mon, let's get some new questions in here!
I'd be happy to send you the script. Or you can wait till I come back in Nov.
Page 116, Scene 198
-- Kirk punches Soran and sends him flying backward. He lands near the disruptor, picks it up and FIRES at point blank range. The blast catches Kirk squarely in the chest, knocking him off his feet.
Mark Lenard was also Spock's father in a few TV eps, but he also played the Romulan Commander in Balance of Terror. A Star Trek hat trick.
Who played an alien doctor who helped Riker escape in exhange for some "extra-terrestrial/extra-curricular" activities?
What is Kiri-Kin-Ta's first law of metaphysics?
How do you feel?
1) Bebe Neuwirth (Lilith)
2) "Nothing unreal exists"
3) "I don't understand the question"
All are strictly from memory, so I'm not 100% sure.
Keeping with the movie-only questions (but with TOS references!):
What is the Enterprise 1701 final destruct sequence?
Who is Will Decker's (unofficial) father?
What is Khan's wives name?
Who (does everyone think) introduced Kirk to Carol Marcus?
2) Commodore Matt Decker from TOS episode "The Doomsday Machine".
3) Enterprise Historian Marla McGivers.
4) Gary Mitchell? (Actually, I have no idea)
I finally found the script I read. It was posted to USENET several weeks before the movie came out. I don't think I read it until after I saw the movie, so it was interesting to compare the script to the final version.
In any case, here's the script I read:
http://groups.google.com/groups?selm...&output=gplain
And, as you can see, in this one, Kirk WAS shot in the back.
170 CLOSE ON SORAN 170
His eyes open. He sees what Kirk is doing, looks around quickly, sees the disruptor lying a few feet away, just beyond his reach.
171 THE PROBE LAUNCHER (VFX-P) 171
Decloaks. Picard goes back to working on the controls.
171A KIRK (VFX-P) 171A
he smiles.
KIRK
The 24th-century isn't so tough.
Without warning, Kirk is blasted forward, shot from behind. Reveal Soran on the ground with the disruptor in his hand. He gets up, whirls around, points the weapon at Picard.
In Star Trek II, who is listed as "Master" of the Kobyashi Maru when the tactical info lists on the viewscreen?
