...what other movies would you recommend, movies about teens in serious roles. Movies with more in common with My So Called Life than Lizzie McGuire.

I would check out these: "whatever", "all over me" and "old enough"

All good teen films from a girls point of view.

I will be checking out blue car this week.

There's always Say Anything, a great movie about teens that doesn't dumb down the characters or the subject matter.
For a more controversial film about teens there's Bully, but this movie isn't for everyone. It's a bit risque to say the least.

There were also a couple titles Roger Ebert suggested when he reviewed this movie. What were they?

And they don't just have to be movies from a girl's POV. Any movie that takes teens more seriously is welcome.
