Sequels you enjoyed more than you had expected to.

Just like the title says. List a sequel or sequels that you enjoyed more than you had expected to.

My first one would have to be X2 (X-Men 2). I disliked the first X-men with a passion. Went to see X2 , dreading every moment of it and came out somewhat surprised. It was by no means a brilliant movie, but it was a marked improvement over the original.

Another would be 'The Crow' series. I'm a big fan of the original 'The Crow'. I went and bought the box set today, having only seen the first two . I watched the first one and remembered how much I loved it. Went onto the second, which I could barely remember (almost none of it ). I knew people said it wasn't as good as the original, but that it was better than the third..Well, I watched it and the whole time I thought I was in hell. I hated every moment of it...Never the less, I went on and put in 'The Crow: Salvation' (the third), which was direct to video. I knew a lot of reviews had said it was one of the worst films..Guess what? I was surprised. I actually enjoyed the film. Sure it couldn't match the first one, but it was ten times better than 'The Crow: City of Angels'. I think everyone was way to harsh on the third one...

Alright, so list your's.

Oddly enough, Men In Black 2. It got a lot of bad reviews, so perhaps I went in with suitably low expectations, but I had fun with it. The first was a fine light popcorn thriller and I felt like the second continued along the same lines.

I agree with Men In Black 2. It gets a lot of undeserved flack because it was more of the same. But i had a fun time with it as well.

I'm going to agree with X-2:

I enjoyed the first one but thought it was lacking something. I was expecting the second to be the same, enjoyable yet lacking. But X-2 was excellent and much better than the first IMO.

X2 for me as well; much better than I expected. I HATED the first one and only went to see the sequel because a friend drug me.

Halloween 4 and Halloween: Resurrection. I thought for sure they would be aweful, but was pleasantly surprised. I agree with X2 also.

Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit was hilarious. Funnier then the first one!

Superman 2 was more fun, funnier and better than the first one. Never get tired of watching it.
