I'm looking forward to......
LXG, Pirates of Caribbean, Hulk, T3, Bruce Almighty, Finding Nemo, A Mighty Wind (opens near me tomorrow!), Lost in La Mancha (opens near me June 6!), 28 Days Later, Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas, Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over (if only for the 3D effects!), Buffalo Soliders...... I think that's about it, unless some indy movies open around me I haven't seen and I look up reviews and it looks good ...... o and one little movie, I think you might know it, The Matrix Reloaded?

What - you're assuming that I'll see Matrix? If I want an HK film, I'll throw some Jackie Chan in and not some warmed over kung fu flick.

That aside, I'm down for:
Freddie v Jason (I think that's on tap for a late summer release)
Finding Nemo (probbaly)
Hulk
Terminator (if the reviews say that it doesnt suck)

And that's it for the rest of the year. I'll probably go catch the re-release of Alien on Haloween, but everything else just doesnt thrill me.

The only "must sees" for me are The Hulk, T3 and LXG and of course Matrix. However I know I'll end up seeing a lot more movies than that.

It starts here at the end of May with part 3 getting a full week run and the other parts spread over the second week.

(and on the Zeitgeist site I just saw the Guy Maddin film has no release date for Chicago. So that may not be a summer movie for me. damn)

edited to add: Landmark's running the Cremaster cycle.

The 7 most anticipated summer movies for me (sans Matrix) would be (in no particular order)

1. X2 (okay I already saw it, but May starts the Summer movies)
2. The Hulk - not as anticipated as many past comic movies (Spiderman, X-Men), but it's ang Lee and it's comics so I'm there
3. Bruce Almighty - looks funny
4. The Italian Job - yeah it's a remake, but I'm interested
5. Down with Love - looks pretty interesting, and would like to see what Payton Reed does
6. Terminator 3 - T2 is just too awesome of a movie for me not to see this. Yeah it might suck, but in a summer if sequels, I'm looking to this more than most
7. Bad Boys 2 - I liked th efirst way more than I porbably should, so that's enough to get me in the door

The sheer number of sequels (or prequels) this summer is amazing though. Seems like close to 15 if that is possible. X2, Matrix 2, Tomb Raider 2, Charlie's Angels 2, Legally Blonde 2, Jeeper Creeper 2, American Pie 3, Freddy v. Jason, The Exorcist, Bad Boys 2, Spy Kids 3, Dumb and Dumberer, and 2 Fast and 2 Furious come to mind.
