Re: Joseph Mazzello - Child Star of Yesterday

I just watched The Cure last night for the first time, and Joseph Mazzello was fantastic. I remember seeing Radio Flyer a number of years ago, and thought he was great in that too. He comes off as vulnerable, yet forthright...the kind of boy you would want for your own son, to protect and to love.

I look forward to seeing him in The Pacific. Glad to see he didn't go all to pot (figuatively and literally).

For calling him awful in THE PACIFIC.

For all the money they invested in this miniseries, I'm surprised they kept Mr. Mazzello on if he was "wretched." I mean, if he truly sucked, why wouldn't they just replace him? Was The Pacific itself worthwhile, or inferior to Band of Brothers?

Joseph Mazzello as Dustin Moskovitz (I hear it's just a small part)

Yep.
Spoiler:
He's the kid who asks Mark Z. if a girl in his class is dating anyone (which gives him the idea for "relationship status")

He's also seen in a few random scenes afterwards, but I don't think he has any other lines.

It's different than BAND OF BROTHERS, but still a masterpiece in my book.

There's a difference between not liking a character and an actor's performance as that character.

It is fun to see him mime along to the Dead Kennedys' "California Uber Alles".
