X2 or MATRIX RELOADED: which are you more excited about?

Hopefully this isn't too pointless or time-wasting, just wanted to know which is the more aniticipated movie among DVDTalkers.

I'm more excited about X2, my brother, Matrix. I'm curious to see which will do better box office. I hope X2. :D But probably not.

flabio 04-15-03 12:24 AM

Matrix, by far (and I am definitely looking forward to X2).

Dr. DVD 04-15-03 12:33 AM

I'll have to say Matrix, but X2 is definitely second on the list, followed by Hulk. Dang I'm a geek!

inVectiVe 04-15-03 12:52 AM

Voted for the Matrix sequel.

Though I enjoyed the original X-Men and am pumped for X2 as well.

fumanstan 04-15-03 12:57 AM

Definatly the Matrix. X-Men too is pretty high up as well. Taking both weekends off work to watch em :)

Bruce_S 04-15-03 01:13 AM

Matrix sequels was supposed to be out last year. I"m glad they took the extra time to make it right!

Jackskeleton 04-15-03 01:44 AM

Matrix

harosa 04-15-03 05:59 AM

Matrix for me mostly because Matrix's trailer pumped me up more than X2's did.

Giantrobo 04-15-03 06:18 AM

Matrix but not by much. Both films make me anxious.

lisadoris 04-15-03 06:37 AM

Ok why isn't both an option! I am in a horrible film theory class this semester that is sucking the love of film right out of me. I'm really hoping these two films will renew my movie addition. Guess I'll have to go with X2 since it's coming out first.

NitroJMS 04-15-03 06:42 AM

I'm looking forward to X2, since I didn't really care for the first Matrix movie.

I do loathe the new X2 poster though:

http://www.movieposter.com/cgi-bin/s...G&pid=MPW-5680

Patrick Stewart's Professor X got bumped from the poster for bit player Iceman and I guess Halle's the star now.

Zodo 04-15-03 07:25 AM

Yikes..that poster is horrendous. I'm glad Halle won't be in the next movie, b/c she plays Storm horribly IMHO.

I put X2 b/c the trailer has really gotten me excited - moreso than the Matrix one. The Matrix trailer was just a massive CGI fest, which I'm starting to get tired of.

Tarantino 04-15-03 07:44 AM

mmmmm....Matrix.......mmmmmm

Geofferson 04-15-03 08:11 AM

Matrix Reloaded, hands-down.

PixyJunket 04-15-03 08:46 AM

Neither here.. will go see Matrix eventually.. but I can't say I'm excited about it..

Deftones 04-15-03 09:14 AM

X2 slightly more than The Matrix.

minguy 04-15-03 10:03 AM

Here's a better poster from ain't-it-cool, who got it from chud.com, who got it from somewhere...

audrey 04-15-03 10:24 AM

Matrix. I'm gonna pass on X2; I hated the first one.

GuessWho 04-15-03 10:29 AM

Neither 'excites' me, but I will see X2 but probably not Matrix.

PalmerJoss 04-15-03 10:53 AM

The first X-Men movie looked great, but was kind of lacking in many areas. The Matrix was just an amazing movie--it was what the Star Wars prequels have aspired to be. I am looking forward to The Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions with great anticipation.

Pants 04-15-03 11:05 AM

I'm more excitted for Episode III, but that's a long wait.

Josh H 04-15-03 11:52 AM

Matrix, hands down.

I liked the first X-men and I'm excited for X2 but nearly as much.

The Matrix is one of my all-time favorites, whereas X-men is just my favorite comic book movie.

Chew 04-15-03 01:20 PM

I think The Matrix for me, just because it's been a longer wait.

I'll be in line for both opening day.

Geoff H 04-15-03 01:23 PM

Of the two choices, I'll pick Matrix Reloaded.

But the movie I'm most looking forward to seeing in the next little while is A Mighty Wind.

Kal-El 04-15-03 01:34 PM

I'm really pumped for both. None of the 2 have the edge over the other for me personally.

joeydaninja 04-15-03 01:54 PM

X2 has more potential of being a better movie than Matrix Reloaded

dvdrules 04-15-03 03:05 PM

I'm definately more excited to see X2 than Matrix Reloaded. Both look awesome...but X-Men is one of my all time fave movies plus X-Men is my all time fave comic. So X2 for me. I've been waiting for X2 for 3 years. Thank God I'll be able to watch the sequel in a little over 2 weeks. Even though I'm more excited to see X2 I will see Matrix Reloaded as it does look cool. Even though it didn't really blow me away with the trailer. But the trailer that really got my blood pumping was X2's.

BDB 04-15-03 03:12 PM

matrix

filmcritic 04-15-03 03:31 PM

Matrix Reloaded is the most anticipated movie ever for me, so I am saying Matrix Reloaded. However X2 is going to be good also and Im looking forward to that one too. But Im still saying Matrix Reloaded hands down.

FuzzyBallz 04-15-03 05:10 PM

Maxtrix Reloaded w/o a doubt. Wow, what's up w/ all the Elmer's glue on the wall?

Chad 04-15-03 05:23 PM

Looking forward to both actually. But of the two, "Matrix Reloaded" ranks pretty damn high on the excitability scale.

Jules Winfield 04-15-03 05:27 PM

Both, beeyotch.

Deckard-10 04-15-03 09:54 PM

I'm also looking forward to both, but Matrix Reloaded edges out X2 as most anticipated.

Dudikoff 04-15-03 10:30 PM

Matrix by an inch. The whole Matrix world is so interesting, I just want to know more. X-Men looks like a good action flick. I'll be there on opening night for both of them.

Was X2 always called X-Men United or did they just change the title? In my opinion, it's a stupid title.

hmurchison 04-15-03 10:58 PM

Saw both trailers. X2 doesn't hold a candle to The Matrix Reloaded. I like the effects on both but I don't believe at all that X2 will have decent fight scenes.

With the Matrix you can tell the fight scenes were crafted by Asians....the choreography is fluid and graceful and doesn't employ much of the rapid chopped up scenes that are used today to hide the fact that actors don't really have Martial Arts skill.

I'm going to go to both but TMR is the only one I'll wait in line for .

Skank 04-16-03 03:10 AM

X2 all the way.

serene 04-16-03 04:59 PM

Matrix 2 wins by a big margin atleast in my case.
but unfortunately i clicked on x2 and voted thinking its M2 ..i know i have to check my eyes.

Jason 04-16-03 06:53 PM

I'm looking forward to the Matrix more than X2, even though I can't shake the feeling that the Matrix series is going to have a really stupid ending.

X2 looks good, but X1 was pretty basic stuff (and was too short).
