Fast and the Furious == Point Break (SPOILERS)

While watching a bit of Fast and the Furious this weekend, I came to the revelation that it is the EXACT same movie as Point Break.

PB: FBI goes undercover to infiltrate a gang of bank robbers
F&F: Police goes undercover to infiltrate a gang of truck robbers

PB: Gang is comprised of a very tight group of surfers
F&F: Gang is a very tight group of street racers

PB: Gang has a mysterious, zen-like leader
F&F: Same.

PB: Undercover agent falls for girl in gang.
F&F: Same.

PB:
Spoiler:
Agent accuses wrong people.
F&F: Same.

PB:
Spoiler:
Agent lets ringleader go at the end.
F&F: Same

I'm sure there are more....

The one thing that I got out of The Fast and The Furious was that it seemed like a really bad, Type R, bling bling remake of Point Break without the bling.

Agent is kind of a dumb, surfer-dude (who's really smart)...

Paul Walker / Keanu Reeves

It's actually even closer to Charlie Sheen's 1987 forgetfest, No Man's Land.

Does D.B. Sweeney also live his life one mile at a time?

I have a feeling Point Break wasn't the first either. If I had a better knowledge of my literature I'm sure this goes back to rip off Shakespeare somewhere.
