Man, when are they going to learn to stop trying to animate fight scenes? It didn't work in Blade II, Star Wars, or Spider-Man and its not going to work here.

You simply can't show a real person fighting one second and then switch the view to a totally computer generated, animated version the next.

It completely pulls me out of the scene.

Still can't wait for this movie.

I'm not going to check out the trailer. That's what made me enjoy the first one, I didn't get overexposed. But thanks for watching it for me. I may be taking a vacation day to check it out.

I went on Quicktime's website and downloaded the latest version and then downloaded the clip from the Matrix website and saved it to my harddrive. I used the "open with" command when I right clicked on the file, and chose the updated (version 6) program of Quicktime to play the trailer.

I didn't have any sound until I did this. I think the main thing is to just get the most recent version of Quicktime.

I've got sound now, and saved and now have the trailer on the desktop, boy that takes a while to load fully.

Yeah, I downloaded the latest QT version and it works fine now, even the MPEG. Odd that having a more recent version of one program would affect how a file plays in another!

I felt the same way after watching the trailer. That stuff just completely takes me out of the movie.

Any way to convert the Ultra Resolution file to SVCD? I ask because even though I'm running with a AMD Duron 1.02 Ghz processor the trailer (though looking fantastic) barely runs. Besides, I wanna watch this on my home theatre. ;)

I burned it to VCD using TMPG to convert to .mpg and VCDEasy to burn it to disc. Try www.vcdhelp.com for specifics.

Yeah, its Rob D "I'm Not Driving Anymore (Instrumental)." He had a track in the original Matrix movie, the scene with Neo, Morpheus and the Woman in Red. He's also written some tracks for this movie and the stuff I've personally heard sounds awesome.

Thanks for the info. I'm having a wee bit of trouble pulling it off (I followed the instructions but it seems I screwed up somewhare as neither my DVD player nor my computer would acknowledge anything was on the disc I just burned). Any advice?

Well I tried and I tried and I tried and I TRIED but I couldn't convert it to SVCD. :( Something seems to go wrong whenever I convert the file from .mov to .mpg :confused:. I just can't figure it out. I guess I could try just VCD but isn't MPEG-1 really crappy compared to MPEG-2?

does anyone know what audio they are going to have to Matrix: reloaded ?

They have this higher rez/huge/extended trailer on the Official Matrix site if you're willing to spend time and "hack" it.

After the first movie was released, I went a bit crazy and dled everything that I could from the official site... now, it's beyond complex with the flash macromedia details/panels, so I've refrained from dl much anything (superfluous that is).

Actually, if you know someone who's a "believer" or whatever the hell they call them on the myriad of MLs, they might be able to help you along with the inane site "hack". Otherwise... figuring it out is time-consuming if you're REALLY bored.

So...is this movie 6 hours long...because it looks like it's all in slow motion??

SFX look pretty nifty though.
