Best Christopher Walken Performance?

Even though it was a very small part, as Vincenzo Coccotti

I concur

The Antipodean 04-07-03 04:14 PM

Any Walken poll that doesn't include his appearance in Disney's "The Country Bears" just cannot be considered valid, IMHO.

Goat3001 04-07-03 05:33 PM

He ruled them all. But True Romance was the best.

harosa 04-07-03 06:07 PM

What? No Joe Dirt? Tie Between 2 show stopping cameos, Pulp Fiction and True Romance.

Kashmir 04-07-03 07:05 PM

Where is King of New York???

REL77 04-07-03 07:20 PM

True Romance all the way. The whole Sicilian Island scene with Dennis Hopper was incrediable

Charlie Goose 04-07-03 07:27 PM

I like him as Johnny Smith in The Dead Zone.

I can't believe I'm the first one to say this:
Spoiler:
You know what this poll needs? More cowbell!

JoeyOhhhh 04-07-03 08:25 PM

His performance in Batman Returns always holds a special place in my heart, since that was the movie that introduced me to Mr. Walken.

His Pulp Fiction and True Romance ones are classics.

Hard to pick between those 3.

LBPound 04-07-03 08:35 PM

I got a fever...and the only prescription is more cowbell!

the von haze 04-07-03 09:12 PM

Can't think of a bad one. Even the Denver When You're Dead bits were fantastic.

Samuel 04-07-03 09:54 PM

Great performances in Biloxi Blues and At Close Range as well.

and

Mouse Hunt, Sleepy Hollow, but my favorite would have to be when he played half eggplant.

caiman 04-07-03 10:58 PM

I refuse to participate in this poll. It's like choosing which of your children you love the most, or which cast member of Friends you'd most like to torture.

conscience 04-07-03 11:35 PM

Dead Zone.

Tyler_Durden 04-08-03 05:22 AM

I voted for The Deer Hunter (I'll never forget his last scene in that one) but he was great in The Dead Zone and a little-known film called The Opportunists. The man gets better with age.

jfoobar 04-08-03 05:24 AM

I was always very fond of the movie Brainstorm, and his performance in it.

Withnail 04-08-03 06:00 AM

Charlie Barrett in Suicide Kings. He spends most of the movie tied to a chair a still manages to be menacing.

matome 04-08-03 08:12 AM

Tie between King of New York & The Dead Zone

Jnuke 04-08-03 11:05 AM

The Comfort of Strangers.
(not available on dvd yet)

Geofferson 04-08-03 11:50 AM

I enjoyed him in The Dead Zone.

BoatDrinks 04-08-03 12:34 PM

This is a horrible poll! ;)

King of New York
Things to Do in Denver When You're Dead
At Close Range

I'd put those 3 above or at least as good as any in the poll.

Dr. DVD 04-08-03 01:17 PM

I voted for Captain Koons but was torn between that and True Romance.

I too think this poll unfair! You need an option to vote for all of his performances!
"You seem like a stiffy stifferson. I hate stiffy stiffersons!"

Big Boy Laroux 04-08-03 01:56 PM

what about Joe Dirt? :)

Numanoid 04-08-03 02:16 PM

The Dead Zone - and why is it not a choice?

Chad 04-08-03 02:23 PM

I see "A View To A Kill" killing the competition. ;)

Love all his performances, but went with "True Romance".

BTW, you mispelled Twikoff. :D
