cost to make a movie

How much does it cost to make a typical movie?

How much does an independent film cost verus a hollywood film?

Hollywood usually no less than 40 mill.

What lesterlong said. But then again, most Hollywood studio are willing to throw more than 100 million bucks for a lot of movie nowadays.
As for independent films, they're generally have less than 50 million budget due to less pay for the actors/actresses and other stuff. There's a budget description on some movie I look at IMDb, and I think you will find that quite useful.
