New Matrix Reloaded TV Teaser
They're going to debut a new Matrix teaser I think during the NCAA finals on TV. It has a lot of new images and kicks booty! They show the twins, Morpheus slicing a car with a sword, and more Neo flying. Maaaaaann, I can't wait for this one. The clips look awesome.

2 questions, have you seen it yet, and does it have a rating yet?

I have seen it and they do say at the end it will be rated R. Did I already mention how cool it looks?
|
On a side note - MPAA.org confirms The Matrix: Reloaded is rated R.
$100m+ budgetted R rated film? I'm there. (Tho I still argue that The Matrix was PG-13 material.) |
It was on Entertainment Tonight tonight (4/4). Looked awesome and they do show a lot of new stuff.

Wasn't "The Matrix" rated PG-13?.. I remember it being PG-13

But more importantly....since it was aired on ET, is it on the net yet?

I'm glad it's Rated R, but this can also be bad for me. You see, I'm 16, and I saw the original Matrix with my brother who was like. . .16 at the time? Something like that, but anyways, the theatres were alot less strict than they are now. Now they wouldn't let me go see About Schmidt with my brother, who is 18. Can you believe that? Ergh. . .I'm glad it's rated R though, I want it in all of its glory. Maybe they'll be more lenient for this film.

On a side note, I tried to see South Park: BLU with my then 21 year old sister and I was 16.. they wouldn't let me in. Stupid bastards :( |
Usually all it takes is a good cussing by a guardian to get you in.
They aren't breaking any laws, per se. Worked for us back in the day, anyway. Till again. |

For most theater chains, you if you are between 17 and 21, you cannot bring a minor under 16. Also, The only way The Matrix could be pg13 if they cut out alot of the violence out of it. Did this come out after or before Columbine?
|
Matrix was PG-13 material with the exception of some blood during the beginning of the lobby shootout scene. And it came out a month or so before Columbine.
Most theaters usually follow the MPAA guidelines, even if the MPAA is not the law. This means a theater could sell an underage person a ticket to an R rated movie and it's legal. This is why if you're 15 or 16, you go to a movie theater where teenagers work at, and you will be sold a ticket to an R rated movie. Unless the teenagers are total narcs/rats/whatever. Then you kick their ass if they won't sell you the ticket. :) |
I recommend just having your parents go in and say that you have permission to go and see it. My local theater used to let any kids that had written permission see a rated R movie. The only one where they didn't honor that was Basic Instinct, for obivous reasons.
If not that, then get some cool relative or uncle to take you. Who knows, maybe Mom and Dad might want to check it out. |
Next time the theatre doesn't allow you in because your of-age older sibling is not your garudian, have your sibling say, "Our parents are dead, I am the legal guardian."

Where the hell is Tank (Marcus Chong) ?
|
Tank died (or wanted too much money).
