I remember checking for his name in the credits and never saw it.

Wait a minute, I remember pretty clearly Steven Seagal's name being used in promotions and trailers for Executive Decision. And I can't believe how sad I am that I actually retained that bit of useless information.

Yah, he was featured in the trailers, etc..., but I'm 99% positive his name was not listed in the opening credits. I remember sitting in the theater (on opening night no less) and not seeing his name in the opening and saying to myself
Spoiler:
"Well, I guess this means he dies in the first 10 minutes."
