Don't hold your breath - this film might have just a little bit of CGI in it.

There aren't many films today that DO NOT have any sort of CGI. Even Maid in Manhattan had some form of CGI. What you should hope for is a large enough effects budget so there's not another horrible Scorpion King.

Here's hoping that Sommers can bring us more dazzling CGI creatures like the Scorpion King at the end of Mummy Returns. Makes Gollum look like a sock puppet!

If it's going to be decently-plotted dumb derivative fun like The Mummy, then I look forward to it.

If it's going to be plotless stroke-inducing schlock like The Mummy Returns, then I'm getting out my garlic and crucifixes.

Concept sounds cool; should be worth seeing....but I hated the Mummy; never saw Mummy returns.
