Hm, i'd have to say Fight Club, because i was a lonely, isolated, chickenhearted insomniac caught up in the drudgery of day to day life. It tought me to challenge my borders.

The Silence of the Lambs made me realize how acting can be so powerful.
Dances With Wolves makes me wants to know about movie a lot. And I mean it in a very intimate ways.
Almost Famous makes me proud of being uncool.

eedoon - I was 7 when I saw Jaws.
Somehow I survived it, but wouldn't go near water for a couple of weeks.

Fight Club had an impact on me. It made me realize that there can be good through all the $hit.
American Beauty made me realize that I have the power to change the world around me.

Dumbo, The Empire Strikes Back, Jaws and E.T.
4 of my favourite movies as a kid growing up, and the movies that made me fall in love with FILMMAKING.... the thing that I'm trying to pursue as a career (as soon as I'm finished university)... so I'd say those really changed my life....

Alright...You can make fun of me if you like...
One of my favourite movies is Joe Vs. the Volcano. An odd movie I coultn't get out of my head. It came at a time when I was lost due to personal issues. Then... I found myself making choices without fearing consequences and saying to myself "DAMN IT, I'm going to do it this year". (Carl Sagan's book 'Broca's Brain' also affected me during this time and so I found myself studying Mathematics [fun at the time but now....i ask myself why]).
Alien scared the crap outta me when I was 11. Don't know if this is life changing, but I hated cats since then.
...OH....and I always wanted a job in the movie industry....but all I wanted to do was direct....

After viewing Cop And A Half in my teenage years , I decided that I wanted to spend my life as a grizzled cop who teams up with a precious black boy to take down singing mobsters.

Star Wars was the movie that showed me how powerful filmmaking (and fiction in general) could be and inspired my life long desire to write.
Believe it or not, but George Romero's Kinghtriders (I saw it at the theater when I was 12) had a powerful affect on my life. This movie helped shape my moral code and I'm sure, ultimately, influenced every major decision I've made in my life. Its sounds silly, but sometimes something comes along at exactly the right time and changes everything (at least it wasn't "A Catcher in the Rye"). It's still one of my all time favorite movies.

2 that i can think of...
Poltergeist .. gave me an eternal hatred for anything clown-related
Pee Wee's Big Adventure .. this came out when i was in like 6th grade and my entire silly sense of humor seems based on it. It's easily the best comedy of all time

For me it was "The Kids Are Alright." I walked out of the theater (I was 15) thinking "wow, that's a lifestyle choice??" I went to the local music store the very next day and bought my first bass guitar. Been in rock bands ever since.
