director's guild upset?!?
after all the talk about scorsese getting the oscar looks like it might not happen.
most believe the DGA award predicts the best director oscar and by these results we might see rob marshall take it. as much as everyone loves marty and believes he deserves one, most also agree that it shouldn't be for GONY....

Since Chicago is probably going to win Best Picture, it's most likely Marshall who will win Best Director, since those two awards usually are for the same film. It doesn't always happen that way-recently Soderbergh in 2000 and Spielberg in 1998 won even though their films didn't win for Picture, but those are exceptions.
I thought it was going to be Scorsese too (and it still could be after all), but I wasn't giving him much better odds than Marshall.
