Favorite Keith David character

One of my fave charactor actors, Keith David has made a lot of films dating back to the 80's. You've probably seen him in plenty of flicks and you'd probably recognize his voice in an instant. Which of his are your favorite roles?

IMDB

Some of my faves:

Childs in The Thing
Fedders in Men At Work
The coach in Marked for Death
Security guard in Clockers

Well, the Marine commander was white. If you are referring to the Marine Sgt., wrong actor. I'm pretty sure that David was not in Aliens.

Definitely Louis from Men at Work!

"He's seen too much!"

"The commie bastard gets no food!"

"Yeah cop. I know you man! I know what you're thinkin'. You're thinkin', we got us another crazy ****** here with a gun. Well let me tell you somethin'. Human life means very little to me at this point in time. You see, I thrive on misery. In the jungle, misery's all ya got but things are different back here in the world or so they seem. Nobody wants to talk about pain and suffering. Everybody wants everything to be nice, and civil. Well okay then! Let's be nice. Let's be civil. And let's drop those guns before I pull this trigger and change the way you feel about me."

"Looks like somebody threw away a perfectly good white boy."

"There are several sacred things in this world that you don't EVER mess with. One of them happens to be another man's fries. Now, you just remember that and you'll live a long and healthy life."

Then when he finally lets the Pizza man have something to eat...

What a genius movie. Brilliant!

LBPound took the words out of my mouth. KD makes that movie one of my guilty pleasures.

Great damn thread here man, what an underrated actor!!!

My gut tells me Men at Work, that is one of the funniest roles I've ever seen, and anyone that loves that movie loves it because of him. "Back in Foo-bi, he would have been dead as soon as he knocked on that door...THE COMMIE BASTARD GETS NO FOOD!!!"

But They Live, perhaps one of the five most underrated movies of all time, is also great too.

And a recent role that rocks was the Barbershop one. He's consistenly so likeable, and he showed convinceable range playing sleaze. Long live KD baby!!!

Great in both "The Thing" and "Pitch Black". Needs to be in more recent flicks.

I almost positive that a while ago IMDB listed a movie or show that both he and David Keith were in. I think it was one of those Gargoyle episodes. It doesn't show up now, but I could've sworn...

KD is a "voice over" Gawd IMHO. He sounds "Soulful" without sounding "corny".

I've actually seen this actor in many movies, but until now, I never knew his name....

Yes...i'll agree he's really good.

When I first saw this thread, I acidentally juxtaposed Keith David's name, so I also thought this post was about David Keith.

I can see the resemblance...
