I just watched a foreign film tonight that really surprised me!

Now, I have watched several foreign films in my time, maybe not as many as few other forum members here, but enough to consider myself an aficionado. Anyway, I came across a movie a few weeks ago that I decided to pick up and was surprised that I had never heard of it or seen it mentioned here. So I gave it a spin tonight, and must say I was really surprised at how good the movie is. It’s a German movie about a Jewish woman during WWII living in Berlin who falls in love with a married German woman. Imagine that twist. The name of the film is Aimée & Jaguar. This movie was well acted and by movie’s end you truly cared for the characters and their fate. Better yet, it’s based on a true story. If you like foreign films, do yourself a favor and check this one out. The musical score and cinematography were also very well done. You will not be disappointed if you enjoy foreign films.

I just read some reviews of this film at rottontomatoes.com. It sounds incredibly good. Maybe I'll check it out if I can come across a copy.

I picked it up at DVDPlanet for $22.49. It also has some good extra features.

OK. I have to ask. As far as the sex scenes go, are they graphic, lots of skin? little skin? no skin? basically, just how intense are these scenes? is there one? many?

I ask, not because I'm a pervert, but because my wife doesn't like watching that sort of thing; especially concerning this movie's subject matter. If you know what I mean.

There is mild nudity and kissing. Nothing too extreme. They are relatively short and were not offensive.

Thanks. I hate asking about stuff like that. I just don't want my wife nagging at me. It sounds like one to get.

Thanks for the info... I have many times thought of getting it and now I guess I will go to Borders tomorrow and add it to my collection. Thanks again.
