rivers and tides documentary
 
saw this reviewed on ebert and roeper yesterday. it's about scottish artist andy goldsworthy and his art. although i've never really liked his work, this looks fascinating. anyone have any thoughts?

I'm not familiar with this, but by the sounds of it i'd suggest that you should also check out Keep the River on Your Right....another fascinating documentary that has the word "river" in the title ;)

Goldsworthy has several books of art on the market, one of which I saw many years ago in art class. Absolutely incredible stuff. I had been trying to somehow recall who he was when I saw the E&R review of the film.

I am very much looking forward to this.

Goldsworthy is one of the few artists out there who has any degree of originality, and watching him work will be fascinating.

I saw this trailer in front of Lost in La Mancha. The pieces he creates are very cool (teetering on the edge of falling apart). Not sure if it would hold my attention for feature length.
