Dragon Wars- Preview of an Upcoming Korean Dragon Movie

I just saw this awesome trailer for an upcoming korean movie called "Dragon Wars" (or "D-War", as the print ad called it). The cgi looks a little fakey but you get to see A LOT of dragons onscreen...

For you guys that hated "Dragonheart" and "Reign of Fire", check out the trailer...

Dragon Wars Teaser Trailer

Well...what do you think?

Looks like it could be a fun movie. Assuming it's not too cheesy. The shot of the thing squeezing the building in LA was pretty cool. Hey, here's hope...I like dragon movies, unfortunately everyone since Dragonslayer I couldn't even stand watching!

Massive thread bump time.

This is showing a September 14, 2007 release date with a PG13 rating.

Looks interesting, at least from an effects standpoint. Is this based on a game or something?

Hehehe. This should be B-movie fun at the theatre!! I thought this is kinda based on some Korean mythology of these serpents seeking wings to be dragons or something.

Other S Korean films I want to see are "Time" and " I'm a Robot..."

They hired all American actors to presumably help it be more marketable in the US.

Looks like B grade actors. One is the guy who starred in the Married with Children clone sitcom. The black guy looks familiar too on TV.

Interesting trailer. I prefer Chinese dragons. A couple of them in the movie look like cobras. Curious to see if this will be a big flop. Starts tomorrow.

Saw the trailer a couple of weeks ago, and assumed it was one of those made for Sci-Fi channel movies - like "Mega Snake". Was shocked to hear this is actually being released in theaters.

I think B-grade would be quite a salary bump for any of the actors involved in this mess.

That means nothing. Don't you know that if it doesn't make at least that much in a 1st 2 hours of release here in America then Hollywood considers it a Bomb?

Same here, even though I'm seeing D-War, I really wanted to see EP.

It took over 4 years to get this movie to America based on the first post. CGI must be state of the art.
