Do you "dress up" when you go to see certain movies?

I see cosplay geeks at conventions all the time. I remember it used to be pretty big to dress up when high profile geek films came out. Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Star Trek, even the Matrix. I have to admit some of those costumes are friggin cool looking. But if it ain't Halloween, I ain't got a costume on. The closest I've come is putting my hair back like Qui-gonn or Legolas... that's it.

I dressed up in full Union uniform for Gods and Generals. Not to see it, to be an extra in it. I got killed on film, mom would be so proud
And when I was younger, and stranger, I used to play Eddie at Rocky Horror in LA. Still got the jacket hanging in my closet.

Going around wearing costumes based on my favorite films is a line that I'm not even close to crossing.
Besides, wouldn't it be uncomfortable being dressed up like a Stormtrooper while sitting through a 2 1/2 hour film? And god forbid if you had to go to the bathroom!

I was so excited to see the movie "Lawnmower Man 2" back in 1996 that I dressed up like Jeff Fahey from the original. The overalls and everything. Of course Jeff had to ruin it by not being in the movie. Matt Frewer was.....
By the way, that was all a lie!

My brother was on local tv for the opening of one of the Star Trek movies, he was in full Klingon costume...
I also wore this costume all day at my Arby's job for Halloween... I won a costume contest with it later that night at a gaming store.

I'm 38 and I did when I went and saw EP1 at the big newport opening night. There was about 50 people dressed up. I'm not ashamed to admit it. My wife might have been My costume was comfy.
Now, did I dress up for EP2? Nope.
I bet there are LOTS of people on here that have but won't admit it either.
