i agree, the movie kicks righteous ass all over so much better known more recent films in this genre.
Fox's inability to see the tremendous market out there for it (including a generation weened on tarrentino films that would probably eat it up as well) is head scratching and frustrating.
It's funny you mention Tarantino.

In Jackie Brown there is a scene where Robert DeNiro and Bridgette Fonda are watching TV - they are watching Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry.

The Naked Prey (1966) starring Cornel Wilde. The film is not yet available on DVD.

Edited to add:
Von Ryan's Express (1965) - WWII starring Frank Sinatra
The Defiant Ones (1958) starring Tony Curtis and Sidney Poitier

Hehe, I was extremely pleased to see it mentioned in that other forum as well. I absolutely love this film and can recite so much dialogue from it. I must have seen it about 5 times at the theatre.

I second the Bourne Identity and Thelma and Louise.
