Question About a Movie...!?!?

What is the name of that movie, where the kid goes off to the woods, goes back home, his house and life is changed. he some how gets taken up by this alien ship. its like a sliver dome, that has a sharp point. and the ship talks to him, it see's through a little eyeball thing and keeps creatures in his ship. most of you probably know what it is by now, so im not going to explain any further.

That would be teh Disney classic Flight of the Navigator.

To me, this and Harry and the Hendersons are dying for a DVD release. But that's probably just me...

What about the one where the kids build a spaceship in their backyard. Was there a movie like that or am I making this stuff up?

Paul Reubens was the voice of the ship.
Sarah Jessica Parker was a NASA staff person, I think.

Nope..... not just you! Love them both!

P.S. Gotta love this forum - it took all of 3 minutes for someone to post the answer!
