Favorite number in Moulin Rouge?

I've got a few, the "Hero/I Will Always Love You" song, the song that signals Satines first apperience, and "Like a Virgin"

"Roxanne" up until MacGregor opens his mouth. Jacek Koman's (The Unconscious Argentinian) vocals are wonderful.

Elephant Love Medley is my fave.

(and E.L.M. is the proper name on soundtrack of We Can be Heroes/I Will Always Love You/etc)

Although I loved the entire movie, El Tango de Roxanne was the best imo... I like the Police, I love tango, and I loved the Pick Your Own Camera View for This Number on the DVD--which was a f**king sweet feature if I've ever seen one.

Same here, but I particularly like:

It's exciting, the audience will stop and cheer!
It's delighting, it will run for fifty years!

Honk!

ROXANNE was definately one of the best-performed and edited pieces of film I've ever seen (not just in a musical)! But I do especially love the duets between Ewan and Nicole too.

Elephant Love Medley, I also find Like a Virgin to be hilarious.

Yes, the entire movie is terrific, but my favorite number is between Your Song and Elephant Love Medley. I also have to say the Tango De Roxanne is definitely edited extremely well.

Also, what some may find intersting is that the Kylie Minouge green fairy cameo at the begining is not her voice. According to the credits, its Ozzy Osbourne?!? Unless I have hearing problems (I watched the movie again tonight and watched the credits this time), I can swear that it was her voice.

I agree the whole film is great but there that I really love are:

1. Chamma Chamma/Diamonds Are a Girls Best Friend - At the opening of the play.

2. Your Song - I think Ewan has a great voice.

3. The song when the green fairy appears.

Wow, just remembering these scenes makes me want to go see the movie again.

When Ewan broke into the "Sound of Music" song, who else thought it was cool?
