Daredevil review *SPOILERS*
 
Well I watched it yesterday and I didn't like it. It spends too much time on the origin story, then on the setup, realises there's only about thirty minutes left and hurries onto the finish.

My biggest complaint: Elektra just sucks. How bad? She gets beaten easily by Bullseye. As for the love story angle, it didn't work for me. There's absolutely no chemistry between the two leads.

I don't feel for Ben Affleck and think he's the weakest thing in the movie. He just can't carry the movie. Colin Farrell almost saves the movie as Bullseye but he can't hold the movie up.

Overall, it's very heavy-handed and rather disappointing. A couple of nice set piece of fights and some sharp quips, but it feels like the pilot episode of a tv series. Comic book fans should have fun playing spot the cameos, but on its own I'd give it a 5 outta 10.

One of the problems with a character like Daredevil is that he's not "iconic" like Superman or Batman or even Spider-Man. Everyone already knows who Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne are. But with Daredevil you are going to have to get into alot of details; who is he? where does he come from? How does he get his powers? Why is he fighting crime? Who are all the people around him. And so-on.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going tomorrow so I'll be able to tell if the film can stand on its own two feet.

Did you watch the Directors cut? Its a lot better, than the theatrical.

Jesus H. Christ...why do people like this film at all?!? DC or not..it's still a bad film. I haven't seen Ghost Rider but word 'round the campfire is that thing sucks as well.
