What is Your Favorite Movie Series?

Back to the Future

I have seen those movies at least 120 times each. I can't just watch one.

WiccanPagan 02-13-03 03:29 PM

godfather and indiana jones. two series that can't be done better but may be tried to.

ToddSm66 02-13-03 03:38 PM

The Thin Man!

evenflow 02-13-03 07:49 PM

The Godfather

Chad 02-13-03 08:24 PM

Bond, James Bond.

inVectiVe 02-13-03 08:27 PM

Star Wars. I'm unoriginal. I know it.

Although, if The Matrix's sequels are as good as I'm hoping, then that trilogy will be up there as well.

Amadeus 02-13-03 08:30 PM

Easily Star Wars.Followed by LOTR.

Steelers Fan 02-13-03 08:42 PM

Godfather and Back to the Future get my vote !

the narrator 02-13-03 09:04 PM

Back to the Future all the way

raKim 02-13-03 09:11 PM

jersey trilogy

bsktballDude1 02-13-03 09:29 PM

Star Wars, Back to the Future, and the Hannibal Lector series are definitely my tops. But Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter are shaping up to be great movie series as well.

Kermit! 02-14-03 02:41 AM

The Jersey Trilogy and Harry Potter is looking promising.

Deckard-10 02-14-03 08:30 AM

Indiana Jones or the Alien series. Can't make up my mind. :D

effigy 02-14-03 05:49 PM

Die Hard & Alien.

DVDHO 02-14-03 06:53 PM

The original Star Wars 4,5,6 not the special craptacular editions.

LBPound 02-14-03 07:04 PM

The first 2/3 of Back to the Future and The Godfather series are incredible
All 3 of the original Star Wars Trilogy are fabulous, too.

davidlynchfan 02-14-03 07:33 PM

The Adventures of Antoine Doinel series. New-Wave baby!

greatjedi 02-15-03 11:27 AM

1st - Star Wars of course. Yes, even the prequels. :o
2nd - Indiana Jones trilogy (soon to be quadruply!)
3rd - Back to the Future trilogy
4th - Lord of the Rings
5th - The Matrix (well, I like'd the first one and have high hopes for the rest of the series.)
6th - Rocky (the first three anyway)
7th - Have yet to see The Godfather trilogy:o

Terrell 02-15-03 11:42 AM

Star Wars is numero uno. Indiana Jones comes in a close second followed by Harry Potter and Back To the Future. If I enjoy ROTK as much as I enjoyed TTT, then LOTR will be up there as well. If it's like FOTR, then it won't be.

A man with good taste, same here. I flip-flop b/w the two.

Gun to my head, my favorite is the Alien movies, but I think that is only b/c they are out on DVD.

flixtime 02-15-03 01:14 PM

1 - Planet of the Apes - not counting the most recent film

Tier 2:
Superman - despite their many flaws, I still found the last 2 films in the series to be entertaining
Alien
Die Hard

Tier 3:
James Bond - though I thought the last 2 films were pretty bad, as well as the last 1/2 of the film which preceded them
Star Wars - should have been number 1 but my love for the first 3 films is tarnished by my extreme dislike for the last 2 films
Indiana Jones - for me, Kate Capshaw's performance (too annoying) takes a great deal of the luster off The Temple of Doom
Highlander

Rypro 525 02-15-03 03:37 PM

The first 3 se versions of Star Wars.
