HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) - Robert Redford ("Spy Game") has signed up to play Jennifer Lopez's father in "An Unfinished Life," for Miramax Films and Revolution Studios, directed by Lasse Hallstrom ("The Shipping News").
Written by Virginia and Mark Spragg, the film centers on a down-on-her-luck woman who is desperate to care for her daughter, forcing her to move in with her estranged father-in-law. Through time, they learn to forgive each other and heal old wounds.
Neither Lopez nor Redford are collecting their usual fees on the low-budget project, according to media sources,
Redford is appearing next in Pieter Jan Brugge's "The Clearing" with Willem Dafoe. He is also preparing for a follow-up to the 1972 Oscar-winner "The Candidate," in which he played a U.S. senate candidate.
Production on "An Unfinished Life" will begin in Vancouver in April.

I'm guessing Redford plays her father-in-law, not biological dad...I could be wrong, but see below.
