movie deaths you didn't like (beware of rampant spoilers)
beware spoilers entail
i put these under 2 categories:
1. deaths that didn't fit the movie
and 2. deaths where the characters were so lovable you just didn't want them to die.
i don't really have any for the first section, i added it for those people who may be thinking that way.
for the second: the grandmother in rosewood, mcwallis(sp?) in braveheart, sebastian in cruel intentions, the brother in the last of the mohicans, carlito, tyler durden (kinda), leon, mandy moore in a walk to remember.
left out the movie for some as they are somewhat obvious, but for those who haven't seen them there may be some solace in them not getting completely spoiled.

Speaking of Disney villains, the death of Gaston in Beauty and the Beast bothered me because the punishment didn't fit the crime. The guy was a cad, but I thought killing him off was a bit harsh.
Killing off the Joker in Batman was a HUGE mistake. Everybody knows that Batman villains don't die, they go to Arkham Asylum so that they can eventually break out and wreck more havoc! So far, the Asylum only has the Riddler in it.

From my memory of Beauty and the Beast from the fact that I havent seen it in 5 years. Gestdon did try to kill the beast and get the old man to find him. Even gets an army to attempt, plus if the beast kills gestdon, he does a good deed and becomes human if memory serves me correct, so I thought for the purpose of the story, he had to die.

Speaking of self-inflicted deaths, why does Indiana Jones try to save that Thuggee guy from being crushed to death in Temple of Doom? The death didn't bother me, but Jones should have let it happen and included a witty quip!

That reminds me: Hicks and Newt in Alien 3. Totally undermined the previous film.
Thought of another one...the end of American History X. Tacked-on and forced.

though i didn't like the death of
in american history x, i think it fit very well. it was almost poignant in the end with his paper and his death.
