Seriously, when I was a kid I went around to every video store I could find trying to get a hold of History of the World: Part 2. There was even a preview for it!!!

The world needs a live-action adaptation of "Willie Wonka and the Great Glass Elevator."

Plus, I'd love to see some of the other Frank L. Baum's "Oz" books brought to the screen.

I'm not inclined to like the idea of a sequel to Leon. It is going to have to be note perfect and truly bring something to the story rather than be the same story in a different setting for me to embrace it.

The only titles mentioned thusfar that I would enjoy seeing would be something more in the 2001 and Remo Williams series.

Some ideas I wouldn't mind seeing that I think if done properly, a long shot given the way the vast majority of sequels are handled, would be worthy. Though if they were done mostly to capatilize on the franchise then please move on. Mostly I rather not see sequels altogether except when they are originally conceived as serials or have an ongoing story arc.

Ghostbusters

Galaxy Quest- this one I doubt highly they could both recapture the spirit of the original and be anything other than a rehash so I'm not going to root for it to come to be.

Sneakers- Given either an entirely new cast or mostly a new one I believe there is a lot of potential both in the idea and in the world to tell another story here.

The Muppets- obviously, keep them coming every several years as inspiration dictates.

Fletch

Evil Dead series

Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie- would love to see them do another feature but it probably would have taken superb sales of Strange Brew and I don't know if that even came close (I did my part).

A want a sequel to Sid Sheinberg's Brazil -- where Sam, Jill, and Archibald Tuttle return to liberate society with lots of guns and sex and explosions. And a hip-hop soundtrack and Beyonce Knowles in a major supporting role to boot.

Here are some I would like to see, if for no other reason then to signal the coming of the apocolypse...

"Breakin Three"

"Three Men and A Grown Up Woman" (wait, that might already be out in the adult DVD section)

"The Return, Return, To The Blue Lagoon: Urban Sprawl"

"Police Academy 12: The Return of Guttenberg"

"Close Encouters of the Fourth Kind"

"Leonard Part VII"

"Gigli 2" (okay, that one was cheap)

"Don't Tell Mom The Baby Sitter Is Dead, Again"

"Stop Or My Stepmom Will Shoot"

"Forest Gump II: The Downfall of Gump" (just picture Forest after he becomes addicted to an illicit substance)

Okay, thats enough of these for now. I know these are a little off the topic of the orginal thread, but forgive me I couldn't resist!

Unbreakable is an easy pick.

Another Spinal Tap could be good.

Remake 2010.

I also kept waiting and waiting for History of the World part 2 when I was a kid.

It's being filmed right now I believe. It might be in pre-production actually, not quite sure. Evil Dead 4 all the way... what the world needs is more Bruce Campbell in their lives

DAMN IT! I thought I was a shoe in to say "Leonard Part VII" until Dave-o did it. So, I'll go in reverse and say prequels need to be made....and go with "Leonard Part V"

On a somewhat serious note, how about Fight Club? Even if it's just a short film, I'd like to see what becomes of things what with credit card companies etc. collapsing....

There is actually a trilogy of books following Willow after the movie events. While the books weren't that great and definately too long and complex for a movie, I could see some of ideas adapted to an interesting sequel.

In case you are interested, the books are Shadow Moon, Shadow Dawn and Shadow Star by Chris Claremont.
