Well, today is February 4th. As many of you may know, the first serial in the, "Animatrix" series was/is due to be released today on the official website. I have journeyed far over to the website in anticipation of what I hoped would be a kick ass short animation. Unfourtanatly, I can't seem to get the darn thing to work! Can you people please help me out by following the link provided below and telling me if you are able to download the video? I for one, cannot!

It's not uploaded yet as we speak perhaps later during this evening it will. BTW, I'm getting that error too, so it seems to be "normal" for now.

I'm impressed. I had my doubts about the whole animatrix thing, but this just made me a believer.

Holly cow! Really really nice! Such a huuuuuge Quicktime file (almost a 150Megs!). I find it really cool that they're putting it up for free.

I just found out about this yesterday, checked out the trailer and then checked out the first short... and holy crap this is friggin' amazing! Being a huge fan of Anime, I guess this isn't a surprise, and the cuts from the other shorts in the trailer look awesome. Definate blind (well, mostly) buy for me when the DVD comes out in June.

I hope that the film isn't as hokey as this thing was...and the Wachowskis wrote this? Given the track record of the first, my attitude is 'wait and see.'

Well, it isn't a movie, it is a series of short animated films. Each one will have a different story, except there is a pt. 2 for the one already online.

I thought it was excellent. It really painted a fuller picture of the history of the Matrix as well as background, as was it's purpose. Too bad we have to wait so damn long for part 2. . .
