The most violent movie ever made?
I would say "Hard Boiled" but alot of it is styalized. Other than that I would say "True Romance" or "The Wild Bunch".

Hot Shots! Part Deux
Bloodiest movie ever |
What about horror movies? The Maniac, Sleepaway Camp series, Bad Taste, Brain Dead (Dead Alive,) The Beyond, etc.
|
I recently watched "Man Bites Dog". Pretty damn violent but I'm sure there are more violent films.
Cinema!!!!!!........ Cinema!!!!! |
Those that I've seen:
Horror: LOTS including Dawn of the Dead,New York Ripper,Dead Alive,Zombie,Re-Animator... Too many to name Samurai :Shogun Assassin Kung fu:The Story of Ricky Karate:The Street Fighter (1974) Comedy:Terror Firmer Blaxpoitation :Truck Turner Anime:Legend of the Overfiend Gangster (American) : Scarface (1983) Hong Kong New Wave: Run and Kill Shakespeare : Macbeth (1971) Heist: Reservior Dogs "Doc":Man Bites Dog Serial-killer :Henry |
In terms of actual violence these two are mild, but they feel like two of the most violent, to me:
A Clockwork Orange The Texas Chainsaw Massacre |
The MOST EVER...I don't know, but Fulci flicks are pretty darn violent.
|
Some of Paul Verhoevens films would qualify: Starship Troopers, Total Recall, and especially the uncut version of Robocop.
|
|
faces of death
|
I thought Predator 2 was 1 of the most violent films.
I love violence in really good movies |
anyone else read the topic of this thread and think "oooh these are movies i'll need to make sure i have"? lol. we live in a sick sick society.
|
Good ole Vincent
"The Conqueror Worm" always disturbs me with its outright displays of torture and evil. Not a pleasant or happy film....
|
Maybe not violent but the "killing" scene in Bully was very disturbing.

Originally posted by darinart1 I thought Predator 2 was 1 of the most violent films. I love violence in really good movies So you're saying that: Predator 2 = Really Good Movie? I quite enjoy Predator 2 but can't remotely justify anything beyond this equation: Predator 2 = Movie |
forgot one SPR.
|
Saving Private Ryan
Any Hong Kong Movie by John Woo Rambo 2 Commando and the most kills by Clint Eastwood go to Where Eagles Dare |
Battle Royale was pretty intense, especially the director's cut.
|
Dead Alive?
Terror Firmer was just sick! But hilarious. |
he one that came to mind immediately was Story of Ricky, the HK movie - lots of blood and (especially) guts here!
|
Final destination 2 was very violent
|
I remember reading a while back that Rambo III was technically the most violent movie at one point (had the greatest number of dead bodies).
In addition, back in '69, The Wild Bunch gained a lot of controversy (and an initial X rating) due to its violence. |
Man Bites Dog was more psychologically violent. I'd say Saving Private Ryan was the most physical and visually violent.
|
Although the body count wasn't high compared to many films, I thought Henry, Portrait of a Serial Killer was incredibly violent.
It wasn't sugar coated with music, suspense, etc... A perfect example is the scene with the hookers in the car. |
I thought Natural Born Killers was darn violent.
