The worst ending I ever experienced was The Game. It was moving along very nicely until the last 5 minutes.
That movie would probably be my favourite Fincher film if Michael Douglas had actually
at the end, rather than the stupidity that they went with. Oh well.

I'll say The Sixth Sense, but just because somebody ruined the ending for me the day before I saw it. I was pissed because if I hadn't seen it coming, I would have enjoyed it. Because it was ruined for me, I never got the chance to truly enjoy the ending.

Trust me. If you now decide to stay away from that movie, this person did you a HUGE favor. Pay It Forward has to be the WORST movie I have paid to see in a theater...

It's only a spoiler if there's something to spoil.... if it was already rotten there's nothing I can do about that.

A second vote for Unbreakable.
M.Night Shymalan is really beginning to p*** me off. <Italics>Sixth Sense</Italics> was excellent, hats off for that. But Unbreakable's deliberate pace and the careful camerawork, plus the director's reputation, build up an anticipation that something ... fantastic ... was going to happen, as a payoff for all the deep and meaningful stuff.
And then, it ended.
So WHAT?????? It wasn't profound, it wasn't even a big surprise.
Sure, we talked about the film all the way home. But this time it was about how there was such a LACK of meaning to the drivel we'd just sat through.
And as for Signs ... don't get me started. This time the big build-up was all marketing. Shymalan delivered a real turkey .. not frightening at all. It was totally clear, right the way through, that
. Without that, what was there to be frightened of?
And another thing ... why does he insist on giving himself brief walk-on parts? Because he's paying tribute to Hitchcock? Or because he's just a vain bastard?

As for some movies that I liked until the last 10 minutes, I would have to nominate:
-The Bourne Identity
I would also say that the end of American Beauty would have been more effective if they didn't tell us who killed Spacey.
By the way, how about some responses to this question: What are some otherwise average (or belowe average) movies that you weren't enjoying UNTIL the last 10 minutes. For this, I will nominate
- Maverick
- Rear Window
- The Score (terrible movie but a slightly enjoyable twist)

Sorry, but Rear Window is a masterpiece...it is easily my favorite Hitchchock movie and I just couldn't not comment
