The Apostle: Did you cry?
I have seen this film before (has been a few years), but a few friends and I watched this tonight and everyone had either a lump in their throats or were crying.
This film is perfect (although a bit long) and Duvall gives an excellent performance as well as giving a good hand at directing.
The film doesn't paint all people (especially Christians in this film) as perfect people. I like how it shows everyone makes some sort of big mistake in life, and yes, we are or will have to pay for it sooner or later.
But we always can't let everything get us down.
A positive message of a movie.

anyway, i agree, it gets better with more viewings.
