Darkness Falls is #1 at the box office
Darkness Falls was #1 on Friday night with an estimated 4.8 million dollars. Do I smell a sequel? For the weekend it'll probably make a total of 10-12 million.

Somehow, I just feel the average movie goer is losing taste in cinema. First Kangaroo Jack, and now Darkness Falls. . . .Kangaroo Jack had a few ok things going for it, from people I know, but I havn't heard a single positive thing about Darkness Falls.

Poo Rises...Darkness Falls.
I had hopes that this could be better than mediocre...my expectations of mediocrity weren't even met... a terrible terrible movie.....

Just Married
Kangaroo Jack
Darkness Falls
something tells me that a whole lot of teens and pre teens are frequenting the theater.
The only prerequisite for a killer opening weekend is seemingly targeting this audience with "NEW" pictures.

Kangaroo Jack had a few good things going for it? What? The Kangaroo?
I havent heard anything good about K.J or Darkness Falls.
Most people dont have much taste anymore, I have learned that.
Look it all the good movies out there and they see this crap.
My question is, why cant people make good Horror Movies anymore?
I have to say I did like The Ring and The Others though but those are really " Horror."

But then again... Final Destination grossed 10 million on it's opening weekend. And we're getting a sequel to that.
I liked FD, and am looking forward to FD2.

Being a huge horror fan, I'd rather have Darkness Fallls at top than Kangaroo Jack, which looks like one of the dumbest movies made, besides the fact that I like Jerry O Conell and Anthony Anderson. I only hope that Final Destination 2 cleans house next weekend since it's obviously the better picture.
