This movie may be number one this week but that's not saying much. No real good movies have been released so it dosen't have real competition.

You don't have to be a rocket scientist in order to figure out that the masses have no taste. And the 1st person who replies that this is not true, that they just have different tastes gets a kick in the nuts.

Kangaroo Jack is a cinematic masterpiece. The beauty of the vivid scenery cinematography, the sheer plot (good vs. evil), the intelligent on-the-edge of your seat thrills, the well-done CGI of the kangaroo, the breathtaking use of music....

Not really.

not all that surprising. it's not like there is a lot of new competition for the top spot.

You'll never go broke underestimating the taste of the American public.

OTOH, once 'awards season' hits us, these will probably be long forgotten.

Wow, Catch Me If You Can is probably going to cross $150 million and Maid In Manhattan might make $100 million. Hits out of nowhere..

I don't know what is more disturbing. These three movies topping the box office, or the fact that my local Best Buy was sold out of Fear Dot Com and Ballistic Ecks vs Sever on their release dates.

I dunno if you'd call a flick directed by Spielberg and starrting DiCaprio a "hit out of nowhere", but then again, Spielberg hasn't been a giant cash cow lately, and The Beach bombed, so who knows?

Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever

I'm still scarred from reviewing that one.

i guess jerry bruckheimer got his mojo back.

after Bad Company, I thought Kangaroo Jack would scuttle him.

Though, Pirates of the Caribbean and Bad Boys 2 looks like they are going make money.

Anyone else surprised that "My Big Fat Greek Wedding" is still making 2.4 million dollars in the boxoffice?

If you take it for what it is, I thought it looked funny. Would I go see it or buy the DVD. NO!
