Rob Cohen is 53?!!

Judging by his last 2 movies, I thought he was at the oldest 24.

El Talon Del Monstruo 01-01-03 12:50 PM

but on the other hand he DID made a respectible movie

Dragon:The Bruce Lee Story 10 years ago, so 53 sounds fair

he's 53 but he makes movies with all these younger guys so as he says in his commentaries...."he"s dope"

Ps..He also likes to date some of his young actresses...I guess it's true what they say directors get all the "poontang"

Geofferson 01-01-03 01:52 PM

53 going on 25

It's funny, here's an example of a guy who got "young" again all of a sudden. Previously, he had done Dragonheart, Dragon a Bruce Lee Story, and Daylight. Once he did Fast and the Furious, he started wearing an earring, acting young, and talking like he knows what's going on in the "street racing subculture" as he says. He also dated Asia Argento from xXx for a little bit. Good for him I guess, but a little too wannabe for me.

After Brucheimer, Cohen cranks out some of the crappiest movies in Hollywood.

Whew! Glad to hear Bruckheimer is still the reining champ. ;)

I'll take Bruckheimer's worst over Cohen's best any day of the week. Bruckie might be the Sultan of Crap, but his movies are usually entertaining. Cohen makes movies by extracting the contents of an elephant's colon with a plunger.

In Cohen's defense: I liked The Fast And The Furious and xXx, 2 pretty damn entertaining movies

xXx was a live-action adaption of the Simpson's McBain movie series -- minus the satire.
