Need help identifying a couple of movies
 

I am thinking of two different movies, and I can't recall the titles, or much plot for that matter.

One:

It takes place in the fifties, or thereabouts. There is a scene in which a pool (maybe at a hotel) is drained because a black child went into it. That's all I remember.
