The term #2 is quite appropriate for any J Lo project.

Not just in a day. On a weekday. A working weekday. Not associated with the weekend. In our area, schools are not even out for the holidays until Friday.

I think LOTR 2 is a sure bet to pass HP2 in total box office (at least domestic) at this juncture... HP2 was OK, but I've no desire to see it again, while it's been less than 24 hours since I saw Two Towers and I'm already itching for another go.

I don't Anyway, the midnight showing probably helped relieve any lost showings because of the length.

I can't believe Analyze That dropped so low so fast. I laughed so hard during that movie that I couldn't control the tears coming from my eyes. Is it officially a bust?

According to box office mojo TTT may have made even more.

Distributor New Line Cinema may even be underestimating as rival studios have it pegged at over $27 million based on the $21,800,418 it generated at 2,526 theaters reporting to Nielsen EDI, the firm that tabulates over 80% of the nation's theaters' box office revenue for the industry. Actual numbers for Wednesday and Thursday will be available Friday.

Wow, there are a lot of geeks in this country

Kidding aside, this is a big number. Good for peter jackson.
Hope he is making money off these films.
