Anamorphic Lens Distortion
When a film is shot with an Anamorphic lens and then later used to add digital effects, they always complain about how hard it is to match the digital FX with the video because the edges of the film are distorted or stretched.
I'm not familiar with photography, so is there an easy way of explaining why the edges get streched? The sites I've found are too complicated to understand.
