Movies that still go on after credit roll.....

Don't you just feel jipped when you make an early exit in theaters
after the movie is finish to avoid traffic and yet there are some movies that still go on after all the credits are rolled up.it's usually just some short shenanigan or like the final say to the film, mostly in comedies.i'm sure i must have missed some.
here's like two i can think of off the top of my head-

Ghost World
Me,Myself& Irene

anymore?

atari2600 12-13-02 02:10 AM

your fault for leaving early. sorry.

austin powers and rush hour have good stuff after the movie ended.

Ginwen 12-13-02 02:44 AM

I was pretty disappointed when I heard that the real Spiderman song came on at the end of the credits for that (as I had it going through my head the whole time, anyway).

Then I bought the DVD, and skipped the bad music, and went right to that.

I don't know if I've ever watched Ghost World all the way until the end of the credits--I think I will right now.

Ferris Bueller's Day Off
Masters of the Universe

PORKY'S

Lots of movies have outakes running with the closing credits, including many Jackie Chan films (as well as a lot of other HK comedies). MARRIED TO THE MOB has some terrific stuff while those little names roll by.

shanester 12-13-02 06:57 AM

it`s becoming more trendy to add outakes duing the closing credits

Groucho 12-13-02 08:09 AM

If your goal is to avoid traffic you should stay THROUGH the credits since most people take off immediately. By the time you get out, the rest of the theater is long gone.

There's been a ton of movies that do this, but I'll focus on a couple of recent examples.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

The Ring:
Spoiler:
Well, not really. But there is a "false ending" that fooled a lot of people who got up and left even though the credits hadn't begun yet.

What happens in Potter?

One of the best ones is in Young Sherlock Holmes, and it's a great wink to readers of the stories.

A shot of Diagon alley, and a zoom in on a book called "Who Am I?" with a photo of Kenneth Branagh in a straight-jacket.

Yeah that was great. I saw that movie in Junior High and was the only one of my friends to have gotten the reference.

Actually, that's gypped or gipped

I usually stay through the credits of any movie I enjoyed, out of respect for the people who made it, to hold on to the experience a bit longer, to hear the score, and to see if there are any surprises.

I didn't realise there was more footage on "Fast and the Furious" until I had rented the DVD awhile back

"A Knight's Tale"

Although there is no additional footage, at the end of the credits of "Aliens" there is audio of Alien feet scurrying around.

sundog 12-13-02 09:50 AM

The end credits of the 2001 French farce "Gregoire Moulin Versus Mankind" featured a little dance number. But the final title card that came up after the copyright was hilarious. It read:

Spoiler:
All animals and humans in this picture were sodomized and tortured.

What is this movie about, IMDB doesnt give a plot synopsis?

The Bus 12-13-02 10:03 AM

How can you guys forget Lethal Weapon 3?

Spoiler:
Another action sequence where, just like in the beginning, a building blows up

Off the top of my head I can also think of Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back

Spoiler:
Alanis Morisette's God closes the book on the Askewniverse

Also, in the mid-90s teen comedy Angus the final audio is

Spoiler:
a loud scream of "SHHHHH******TTTT!!!!"

Also, as an honorable mention, the movie A.I.:

Spoiler:
goes on and on and on and then eventually the credits get there but only after dozens in the theatre have repeatedly slammed their heads against the chair in front of them in pure reckless boredom

Basically, it's a rip-off of Scorsese's After Hours set in Paris. Only the lead, Artus de Penguern (Hipolito, the writer from Amelie) is much more hapless than Griffin Dunne. It's not as dark, but is quite explicit in parts. And the French do farce rather well. It was shown by Facets' Cinematheque as part of their annual festival of new french cinema.

Being a Gypsy, I take offense to the phrase "being Gypped". It is a snide way in referring to my people being theives. Stop it.

davidlynchfan 12-13-02 04:24 PM

Umm.... Pardon?

Jackskeleton 12-13-02 04:49 PM

I still don't see how YOU were ripped off if you walked out yourself. You want to skip the crowds, here's a suggestion.. just sit it out. everyone has the mentality to make a rush for it to miss the crowd. strange since if everyone does that, they create the crowd. besides that, Where is it said that once the credits start rolling that it's over?

It's not their faults you walk out. Credits are great. good to see all those who took part in creating the movie named.

Star wars:TPM has a breathing noise from vader
Jay and silent bob strike back has a little bit of an ending

criterionII 12-13-02 05:16 PM

"Wild Things" - If you missed the end credit, you missed PART of the movie!

NitroJMS 12-13-02 07:07 PM

Monsters Inc. and Toy Story 1 and 2 both have out takes during the end credits.

RKillgore 12-13-02 11:01 PM

Wayne's World
Been years since I've seen it, but I think it was alternate endings

The Muppet Movie

Taxicab customer: "I'll give him fifteen more minutes"
